HOW TO TAKE CARE FOR SILVER 

The way to ensure durability and a fresh newness for a long time in your silver jewelry is to make sure to wear them quite often, as it starts to tarnish quickly when it’s frequently exposed to oxygen and sulphur and the oil on your skin prevents it from tarnishing. 

When it comes to storing silver jewelry, make sure to keep it in airtight bags and slip in a piece of chalk if possible. If you have to clean silver, use a jewelry polishing cloth instead of a harsh tool like a toothbrush since silver is quite soft. 

Also, avoid contact with moisture, water, chemicals, perfumes and cosmetics. Put on your jewelry after completing your makeup and hairstyle. It should be taken off before going to bed and before physical activity. Do not use too much pressure on your jewelry, treat it gently. 

HOW TO TAKE CARE FOR PLATED JEWELRY 

Plated jewelry has a thin layer of precious metal on another solid metal which can rub off with constant contact with your skin. Continual exposure to sweat, water, perfumes, and chemicals present in the toiletries can tarnish the plated jewelry. 

Plated should be treated similarly to silver. If you want to extend the life of plated jewelry, you should avoid friction and contact with rough surfaces. Remove the jewelry before going to bed. Always keep each item separately in the box. Clean gently with specific products intended for gold and silver. Keep your jewelry dry. If your plated jewelry gets wet then immediately wipe it with a paper towel. 

HOW TO TAKE CARE FOR PEARLS 

Natural pearls are vulnerable to harsh chemicals in cosmetics, hairsprays and perfumes. It is recommended to put them on only after your makeup and hairstyle are done. They should not be in direct contact with water and moisture. You have to watch out for mechanical damage and always remove pearls before going to bed. Store them in a dry and dark box. Clean it gently with a soft, moist cloth.

HOW TO TAKE CARE FOR GEMSTONES

Clean gemstones with a mild detergent and a soft cloth. Handle with care and avoid mechanical damage, scratches and strong sun exposure.
